The ground under each other's feet
Contact Improvisation workshop with Virginia Negru and Cătălin Diaconu

Attention, listening and body-to-body communication.
Although movement is part of our daily lives, we are often driven by inertia rather than intention, automatism rather than choice, doubt rather than enthusiasm.

Contact improvisation is one of the forms of contemporary dance that teaches us to pay attention to bodily reflexes, to observe and intervene on what is unconscious in motion, and to transform the way we relate to space and to others.

The workshop took place within the framework of  “Dancing Days with Unfold Motion” initiative, on the occasion of the International Dance day, between 29th April and 8th May 2022.
Round Around
Contemporary Dance workshop with Daniel Alexandru Dragomir

The main theme of the workshop was the idea of the round body, which was deepened through specific exercises that help to understand the need of the body to be in contraction by positioning it in the fetus position. The round body is a natural position of the body that can be regarded as a defensive action by consciously or unconsciously transforming an impact (point of contact) into a continuous energy-generating impulse.
The workshop took place within the framework of  “Dancing Days with Unfold Motion” initiative, on the occasion of the International Dance Day, between 29th April – 8th May 2022.

Of body and words
With Valentina de Piante in collaboration with The National Centre of Dance Bucharest (CNDB)

"Sometimes when I have to write about a workshop, I can't find the words. Sometimes the body does not need to be written, because it knows more than the composition of the language and knows that the words often tell lies hard to believe. The body language is different."

Contemporary dance workshop
With Louise Kelsey (UK)

Doris Humphrey’s technique began to evolve in the late 1920s, and is based on the ‘giving in’ to and ‘resistance’ to gravity. Within the workshops we will explore key elements of Humphrey’s movement philosophy including suspension, use of breath, successional flow, oppositional motion and change of weight. Through participation in Humphrey-based technique classes, learning repertory excerpts, and responding to creative tasks, the workshops will develop the dancer’s strength, musicality and sense of individual artistry.

From the inside out – Contemporary dance workshop
With Baczo Tünde (RO)

"For me, dance means more expressiveness and less esthetics. I am interested that a performer should go beyond the dancer limits and that his movements should be the result of a sense, pulsation from the inside and not an execution driven by muscles and joints."
